Professional achievements and challenges

Although I’m currently enhancing my academic curriculum studying a Master in Sport Club Management in the KernaBa Center in Barcelona, my real priority are the coming olympic games in Beijing 2008, and my sailing students in the Club Náutic Garraf. I have a role in the Spanish Tornado Class as “sparrings” of the current world champion. Thus, my crew Fabian Escudé and I play a major supporting role helping Fernando Echavarri and Antón Paz in their olympic quest. Consequently, we’ll be among the Spanish Olympic Team in Beijing 2008. All these experiences enrich what I consider to be the most fulfilling activity, the teaching of sailing. I taught Optimist and Europe Class sailing in Torredembarra from 1990 to 1995 after being Spanish national champion in both classes. This was a very fulfilling and fruitful work that led me to coach young sailors that entered the Catalunyan and Spanish National team in the Optimist, Laser and Europe classes and who later participated in Europeans and World’s championships. Over the years the Club Marítim Torredembarra, Club Náutic Premiá, Club Náutic de Vilassar de Mar and Club Náutic Garraf have employed me as sailing coach, coordinator and director of their sailing teams, and today, I held the position of manager in the Garraf Sailing school.

Importantly, I have to mention my crew Fabián Escudé, our coach Toni Ripoll and our sponsors because they are essential in the outcome of our olympic campaign. Fabián is a very determined individual with a very strong conviction regarding our olympic potential. Our sponsors keep us going in more than a financial way, they also encourage us to give out best. Finally,our love to our families and girlfriends who keep wishing the best for both.
